About the game
BLACK COMPANY is a satirical isometric tycoon about running a business the way the quarterly report wants it run. Build your floor tile by tile, hire people for the workstations, and watch them walk to their desks, get tired, complain and quit. Every order needs materials, staff who can actually reach their station, and two stages of work before it earns a cent. Cash is not profit, and the cash-flow statement will remind you.
Every three in-game days the board reviews your quarterly profit against a rising target. Miss it and you get a formal warning. Two outstanding warnings and you're replaced. Post a record quarter and the next bar goes up with it. Squeezing the staff can rescue this quarter — and cost you the next one.
